TELEVISION

SA’s Got Talent host:  The show reaches 2.5 million viewers weekly. Such was his success as a first time presenter; SA’s Got Talent was voted Best Reality TV Show in the 2013 Sunday Times Generation Next Survey.

I Love South Africa – Tats Nkonzo is a star on this successful game show, where celebrities are put through the test about different aspects of South Africa.

Late Nite News with Loyiso Gola – Tats was a writer and performer on the Emmy nominated satirical show, Late Nite News with Loyiso Gola. He performed the Morale Index, a comedy segment which comments on the country’s morale based on the week’s news.

CNN – Along with Nik Rabinowitz, Tats was profiled on CNN’s African Voices, where he was engaged about his use of stand-up comedy as nation building tool.

So You Think You’re Funny – A finalist in the first season of this hit reality show for stand-up comics; Tats Nkonzo left a lasting impression on judges and producers alike. Such was the impact that, even after elimination (Top 8), he was requested to prepare material as a guest performer in the final round of the competition.

Idols – With a musical gift that complements his comic performance, as a top 24 finalist in the third instalment of the series, it is clear when Tats enters the stage that he is a multi-faceted entertainer.

Montreux Comedy Festival
In 2014, up against comedians from the United States of America and the United Kingdom, Tats Nkonzo was selected to compete in Switzerland where he took top honours. He won the competition and was subsequently signed to be managed by one of Europe’s biggest comedy producers, Mick Perrin of Mick Perrin Worldwide.

Harare International Festival of the Arts
Tats Nkonzo was approached by festival producers and given a theatre where he performed at the biggest arts festival in Zimbabwe.

Comedy Central Presents
Tats Nkonzo was selected by Comedy Central to host his own show on the channel. The ratings for the programme were so high, he was asked to perform in a “Best of” recording alongside Barry Hilton and Chester Missing (Conrad Koch).

Comedy Ensembles
Tats Nkonzo has featured the major ensemble comedy shows around the country and regularly headlines clubs nationwide.
Shows include: Bafunny Bafunny National Tour. Blacks Only. Comics’ Choice Awards.

SUPPORTING ACT  for Nik Rabinowitz sold out, “You Can’t Be Serious” and “Stand and Deliver” one man shows. He also opened for Loyiso Gola at the Teatro at Monte Casino for Loyiso’s one man show, Life and Times.
