Prince M’baya Comedian & MC

 

 

 

Prince M’baya is an award-winning comedian and entertainer with a unique blend of wit and storytelling, who began his comedy career in 2019. Performing in both English and French, he is an excellent local and Pan-African host and regularly MC’s at private and corporate functions.

In 2024,  Prince M’baya won the prestigious Festive Lights Comedy Competition, earning a performance at the historic Grand Parade in Cape Town with a live audience of 80,000, a testament to his ability to captivate large crowds.

Prince’s inaugural theater production, Prince M’baya & Friends, was a sold-out event held at the Homecoming Centre.

Throughout his career, Prince has built an impressive portfolio of accolades. He served as a judge for the Cape Town Talent Search in 2020 and was a finalist in the King Gong Comedy in 2021. His momentum continued with semi-finalist honors at the Jive Funny Championship in 2022 and 2023. Prince’s versatility also led to a role in the film Bloed Betaal 2 and a memorable appearance as Master of Ceremonies for Luyolo Yiba, the winner of Idols South Africa.

In 2023, Prince solidified his status as a rising star by being featured at the Savanna Comic Choice Comedy Awards and the Rising Stars of Comedy showcase at Protea Fire & Ice. His international appeal was further emphasized when he performed in French at the Festival Francophonie, hosted by the French Embassy.
