An extraordinary talent with an ability to connect with audiences across all demographics, Guy is a positive, generous, response-able, diligent, dynamic and motivated individual who seeks out challenges, adventure and growth. He believes that to be successful we need to have VPR-not CPR or VHS or anything like that, but VPR: Vision, Passion and Resolve.
As a corporate MC, Guy experimented with bringing a comedic performance to the very serious business environment. He introduced two characters of very different backgrounds and the response was amazing! A third uniquely Cape Town character is now waiting to be unleashed on your next event.
“Cash Reddy’s the name, Sales the Game” has become a welcome and intriguing intro to many a conference, corporate event or launch. The character is an Indian Salesman, Cash Reddy, who can sell you down the river with his exploits as a first class motivational speaker and wheeler and dealer. Always performed with respect, Cash Reddy is a slick and proficient Master of Ceremonies.
“The name’s Bond… Broeder-Bond. I are a motivational inspirator!” Performed with gusto, this character demands the respect of his audience before ‘gently’ encouraging them to embrace the prescribed corporate vision. This character is best seen at the end of a gruelling day of conferencing or as a pre-break interlude and can succinctly conclude any corporate message.
“Yessh…. julle mense is jus.” Uniquely Capetonian, working class family man with a penchant for beautiful ladies and an acute insight into the days of our lives, Jerrick can be heard on Guy’s radio show, the Guy McDonald Beakfast show on Good Hope fm. He voiced his interest in becoming a “larney ou master”… that’s a Master of Ceremonies and quickly became a favourite thanks to his wit and humility.
Guy McDonald, as himself has been somewhat of a fixture in the SA Rugby circles, MCing Media launches and social functions for their BokSmart Campaigns, ABSA Currie Cup Campaigns, Vodacom Cup, and the IRB World Sevens Series Tournaments in George. He has MCed the latter for 3 years running.
Whether your function is a 2 day conference or a gala awards evening, Guy McDonald is there to make sure the event goes according to plan! His perfectionist nature and experience in writing, producing and directing his own One-Man show gives him the added advantage of understanding exactly what goes on behind-the-scenes to make a production work!! An ability to adapt quickly means he is adept at handling last minute changes with a smile while impressing the audience with his professionalism.
