Are you living on Credit Crunch cereal? Is your carbon footprint a size 13? Do you no longer feel like you’re one in a million? There is hope, because award-winning stand-up comic Nik Rabinowitz returns to Jozi with a comedy show that will leave you shouting ‘Yes we can!’ Even if we can’t.

If everything feels like a cheap Chinese knock-off, uNik will remind you that we are all unique. Except the 6.5 billion of us who are exactly the same!

A must-see for lovers of comedy, comedy lovers, lovers and single people as well, as well as couples, and people who
are together but not actually going out, plus newlyweds who think they might like comedy but aren’t sure, as well as people who might be dating but don’t want to put any pressure on each other by formalizing things, oh, and also people who hate comedy but who feel like a change, because they can, even if they think they can’t!

Nik Rabinowitz was raised on the mean, green streets of Constantia, Cape Town; a world of ride-by shootings, piano lessons, and unrelenting love and financial support from family members. He grew up as a farm boy; climbing trees, speaking Xhosa and commentating on his own rugby games, in Afrikaans. After graduating from UCT with a Business Science Degree and a large afro, he took off with a band of traveling actors and a herd of displaced Zimbabwean Donkeys before becoming a stand-up comedian. Awarded South African “Stand-up of the Year” for 2008/09, Nik presents “The Week that Wasn’t” on 702, and currently stars in David Kramer’s smash hit THREE WISER MEN with Riaad Moosa and Marc Lottering.

Brent Palmer is a born and bred Cape flats local and London-trained actor/comedian, playwright and director. His career highlights include having written four produced plays, performed in a Paul Ian Johnson production and having been brutally gunned down by Stephen Segal in “Mercenary for Justice”. “uNIK” is Brent’s 5th collaboration with Nik.

Tom Eaton is the most famous author to emerge from Kenilworth in the last 400 years. He has written over a million books, but only about four have been published. He also writes for television and film, but his parents don’t know yet. Tom is the comic genius behind hayibo.com
