an Actress and a Foodie


As an actress she has starred in 20 stage productions over the last 9 years including the highly acclaimed Crepuscule, My name is Rachel Corrie, The Miser, Richard iii, Foursight, The Great Gatsby, Mephisto, Cosi and The Birthday Party.


She has received 5 stage award nominations: Fleur du Cap nominations for Best Actress, twice for Best Supporting Actress and Best Performance in a One Person Show as well as a Naledi Nomination for Best Play for Young Audiences. With regard to TV, she’s appeared in numerous South African shows, most recently in Bantu Hour and Those Who Can’t. She is also soon to appear in Gavin Hood’s highly anticipated Eye in the Sky alongside Helen Mirren.


A self-taught cook, Kate made a name for herself in the food world after starting the blog UndomestiKATEd Since then she’s been working as a food magazine feature article writer, restaurant reviewer, recipe creator, food stylist and photographer.


She has worked with a multitude of Magazines (including Food and Home, Food24 and AFKTravel). She’s presented various pieces on the Expresso Show and has hosted a road show for Sasko.


Recently, Kate decided to merge her foodie and acting worlds and so began collaborating with a great team called SpaghettiTV to create a web-series called Kitchen Hacks . Below are web links to her new show.
