Lynn Hill-De Wet

Lynn Hill De Wet is a passionate and powerful advocate of Personal Empowerment and the pursuit of Personal Excellence. Lynn believes in and teaches about unlimited human thinking and the unimaginable impact such thinking can have on the quality of our daily lives and the direction of our destinies. She is a widely travelled and sought after professional speaker, trainer, writer, counselor and life coach. Lynn believes that inner work precedes outer manifestation! Embracing the relentless pursuit for personal excellence in all aspects of one's life will enhance self acceptance and self respect! Lynn believes that the collective pursuit of Personal Excellence can bring about a collective Excellence Consciousness that has the potential to hugely impact bottom line business, organisational growth and ultimately reshape the destiny of our country!

Lynn has shared podiums with Irene Khan (C.E.O. of Amnesty International), Wendy Ackerman (Pick n' Pay Group) and Jane Raphaely. She has been trained by Dries Alberts, the Afrikaans translator of Scott. M.Pecks' book: "The Road Less Travelled" as the only South African trainer, other than Dries Alberts to run the course: "The Road Less Travelled" Lynn is currently being considered as the first South African to run the Susan Jeffer's course "Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway".

Lynn's personal vision has always transcended her situational limitations. She has lived the mastery principles before knowing that they existed! It was the creative visualization techniques and childhood imagination that propelled her to focus beyond the stereotypical limitations which the Cape Flats offered. She spent most of her life growing up in Grassy Park. "I am now so proud to have lived so close to Retreat where Marc Lottering grew up!" She schooled in Wynberg and later in Claremont at Livingstone High! Lynn went on to complete her tertiary studies full time and part-time against severe odds at the University of the Western Cape. All of her studies were completed while concurrently mothering a very young daughter and son. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree, having majored in English and Psychology, a Higher Diploma in Education and an Honors Degree in Psychology. Lynn has spent the last fifteen years researching the concept of Personal Empowerment.

Lynn's experiential journey has been profound! Her talks combine the lessons learned on this journey with psychological principles and her latest research. She uses her poetry (which has contributed to her own healing) to now serve the world as well as enhance the learning and creativity of the session or talk. Lynn has survived a less than ideal childhood, a brutal rape at fifteen, a teenage pregnancy, an abusive significant relationship and a less than fair business world! She personifies and epitomizes the spirit of resilience and passion, the essential pre-requisites she considers to achieving personal success and bringing to fruition our God- Given destinies and our dreams!

Lynn has birthed and continues to nurture and re-invent two powerful programs:

The Personal Mastery Program coerces the individual to examine to what extent they have begun to utilize the construct of Self Leadership in the seven operating areas of their lives. The program challenges mediocrity and complacency at a personal and vocational level. It also invites the individual to assess and abandon, if applicable all forms of self- defeating/self sabotaging behaviors. These need then to be replaced with reviewed and renewed mindsets that can become enablers to pursuing excellence by stepping out! (Of comfort zones) and stepping up! (To newer, self- owned heights.)

The program is a must for individuals caught up in the comfort of living in their past, using every imaginable excuse possible as to why they still feel the world or their boss owes them!

It is also a must for individuals trying to live in the future, utilizing the when-then game and being stuck in a rut while waiting for the future to grant them the opportunities that they are not prepared to access themselves. This course will remind them that actions and choices made in the present determine the future.

The program can and will too serve the individual who has accepted accountability for their current and future reality in every area of their lives, whose choices have been aligned to the outcomes they have wanted to achieve and who feel that they have "arrived" In a paradigm of potentiality and unlimitedness, this course attempts to conscientise the individual that the journey might barely have begun simply because" the journey has no distance" (Axim)

"In order to be a truly authentic speaker, I need to consciously and deliberately practice the principles that I teach! This includes ongoing evolution in my personal quest towards excellence as well as the ongoing re-creation of material which I know will serve others in a deeper, more profound way"

The Self-Esteem Program was borne after discovering that people from all walks of life, across all organizational levels lacked belief in themselves. This was a primary factor withholding optimum personal and organizational performance. You could not begin to master that which you did not believe in — YOURSELF! Lynn's Self-Esteem Program examines a truer, deeper understanding of the concept against the backdrop of earlier childhood and societal scripting. She increases your understanding of the root causes of the "lack" mentality and provides you with practical tools to create, harness and protect your true sense of personal worth!

Lynn pursues her life with purpose and passion and continues to live her dream by inspiring others to do the same; after all she believes that exceptional destinies are reached as a result of exceptional thinking and choice-making! It is her belief that mediocrity is a sin, the pursuit of excellence, its redemption!

REVIEWS

Hi Ashiek, hope you're well. I was privileged to be part of an extremely inspiring session this morning facilitated by Lyn Hill De Wet. Her understanding of the subject content was excellent. Her technical skills, passion, dynamism are top class.

Having "travelled" the Province as a leader, I really do believe we could use her talents, for the benefit of our staff/province, to entrench a a sustainable people platform that would give us a competitive advantage over the FNB's & ABSA's.

Considering her service offering, by giving her an opportunity to present to you, could make a significant difference in our quest to become the leading Bank in the Western Cape.

Dear Lynn

On a personal note I want to share about the impact of the personal mastery in my own rest of my life. I have been struggling terribly over the last year trying to get my sons sugar levels sorted out. We had one crisis after another - mostly because the type of insulin was unstable but I hung on to it for dear life because I was too afraid of the implications of changing brand as that meant me having to do direct injecting (which I could not face). Last Monday I confronted my fear, got the new insulin.....and it is wonderful!!!!! I could have saved us both an immense amount of pain and anxiety if I had just faced the fear earlier. Thank you... you have changed our lives and the way we will both deal with fear in the future.

Kind regards

I have attended the Personal Mastery Class on Wednesday 26 July 2006.I really don't have any words to describe what I have experienced on that day , but all I know is that my life has changed in many ways.

The course was well presented and the presenter knows exactly what she was talking about. The personal experiences of the presenter brought to our minds that you can achieve whatever you put your mind to.

Let alone, the research she has done and the way she answered our questions leaves no doubt that she is very good at what she does.

My wish is that your office tries to let each and every one on campus attend this life changing course so that we can have a better work force and also teaches us how to deal with our daily situations at work and in our personal lives.

I wish your office the best in all you do and hope you will keep on challenging our people on campus and bring to us the best of life changing courses for the future.

Our entire office has been privy to a group counselling session called Personal Mastery. It is facilitated and owned by a lady named Lynne Hill-De Wet who has a very impressive resume and portfolio. It has a professional edge which is focussed at management level, yet has the ease of reaching every employment level. It also makes diplomatic reference to The Secret without losing its own. It is capable of a stand alone event and as an add-on.
