Sergio Lourenco Dos Santos
Born in Leiria Portugal.
Emigrated to South Africa as young boy with family.
Educated in Pretoria and Bloemfontein.
Signed Professional contract with Hellenic FC at 17 years old 1969.
Made debut the same year and became the youngest player to do so in the history of the National Soccer League.
Made Captain of team at age 22 becoming the youngest in the league at the time to do so.
Captained SA Continental Squad in first Multi National Tournament held in 1974 (winners).
First white player to move across colour line when joining CT Spurs (1975) in Federation League (SACOS).
Played for Kaizer Chiefs (1981/2/3).
Represented South Africa at the Maccabi Games in Israel in 1981(gold medal).
Coached: Vasco Da Gama, CT Spurs, Hellenic, Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs.
Obtained SA citizenship after release of Madiba and the implementation of democracy. A Staunch South African Patriot.
