Mags van der Westhuizen

Ah, you might or might not remember her, but you would if you were one of the 40 million viewers who were glued to the screen in 2001, yip that's where it all started for Margaret Van Der Westhuizen, the Big Brother 1 loud laugh star. It has been seven years of gracing magazine covers, hosting TV shows, and co hosting and producing the afternoon drive on a KZN radio station, with all that behind her you will still hear the ring of that famous laugh on television, and at corporate functions either in JHB or in the Mother City — it is now more apparent as she has joined the Largest Independent Radio Station in SA. Mags proudly wears the prefect badge in the "HOTTEST DATE" division voted by FHM readers 2004 and "HOTTEST DJ" nominated by Zoo Magazine 2007, with theses titles it's no wonder Monica Lewinsky squirmed when Mags was introduced to Bill Clinton, and they starred longingly into each other's eyes. We could go on forever bragging about this magazine, that TV show, and this interview, but let's face it Summiting Mt Kilimanjaro successfully, and raising a million rand for Hospice has to be her biggest title yet... What's next Miss Mags???

• She hosted the Durban leg of Idols for a day, interacting with the contestants
• 3 Talk with Noleen - interviewed her at the Ushaka Marine World KZN
• She did Blonde Ambisie with Patricia Lewis for two years in a row 2003 2004
• She was also scripted in to the Project Fame Reality show as a prank & was also one of the celebrity guests who were invited to contend in the Project Fame House before the contestants arrived
• She's hosted D-Jays on DSTV two years
• She was on ETV for a East Coast's Promotional Campaign, running of +- 6 months
• She was also the official female presenter for Shark Bite Supersport TV programme over the 2007 Super 14 period. (This entailed introducing the show, supplying sufficient information with regards to the rugby logs and knowing who plays what in which position and of course the points system and so on. Interviewing supporters and knowing the products that are being promoted during the game as to throw forward to the events)
• She was extensively involved with the entertainment at the games and broadcasting onto the big screens while interviewing supporters in the crowds. She opened up the Sharks vs Brumbies at the ABSA stadium for the Super 14 2007 ( & ran the Sharks rugby team on to the field)
